How to access D365 F&O from outside of VM (without RDP login to VM server) 


Step by step how to do it:

1.   Login into D365 VM:

    2.   Open CMD to check D365 VM server IP details:



   
   3.   Edit your VM host file: 

On C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc. add D365 F&O VM IP and usnconeboxax1aos.cloud.onebox.dynamics.com


4.   Copy certificate from VM:

Open IIS >> Website (AOSService) >> Site Binding (on right pane) >> Edit Site Binding >> View SSL Certificate >> Details >> Copy to file>>Next



    5.   Go to local system & edit your local machine host file:

On C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc . add D365 F&O VM IP and usnconeboxax1aos.cloud.onebox.dynamics.com



 6.   install SSL certificate from VM to Local system, to avoid HTTPS error while accessing the D365 F&O link.

        How to install certificate on the chrome. Go to Chrome browser>>Settings>>Advance>>Manage certificate>>Import




As we can see, successfully we are able to access D365 F&O from outside of VM.

How to add Custom/ New Field in D365 F&O customer master: Navigate to the form where the new field we want to add/ create. Open the personalization toolbar by selecting  Options , and then  Personalize this form . Click  Insert  and then  Field . Select the panel of the form where you want to add the new field.
